Saroj is a PhD student at JCU, working on sinkhole lake sediments in the Katherine region of the Northern Territory.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Nepal and Msc in Environmental Science, specialization in Quaternary paleoecology and environmental change from Finland.

His PhD focuses on analysis of sedimentological and geochemical characteristics of long sediment core to derive long-term paleoenvironmental records of environmental change in Australian savannas.
