Lorena has completed her PhD at the Oxford Radiocarbon Accelerator Unit, University of Oxford, in late 2019. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow based at the Chronos 14Carbon-Cycling Facility, University of New South Wales.

Lorena is an archaeological scientist with an expertise in radiocarbon dating, whose research often involves the construction of reliable, high-resolution chronologies using radiocarbon dating and Bayesian age modelling techniques. Lorena is interested on the interface between past human occupations, climate, and ecological processes.
