Kobie has an Arts degree, majoring in Sociology and Indigenous studies from the University of Wollongong and Tertiary qualifications in Youth Work.

Kobie’s employment background includes working for a Disability Employment Service Provider in Wollongong assisting Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth with disabilities to further their education or gain employment. Prior to joining CABAH, Kobie was a Project Officer with the Federal Department of Employment working in the Youth and Programmes Group. Kobie worked in the Empowering YOUth Initiatives program where the Department sought applications from not-for-profit and non-government organisations whom pitched new and different approaches to help vulnerable young people gain skills and experience to either gain employment, education or start-up entrepreneurship. Kobie assessed applications and participated in decision making committees for applications, through to writing up Contractual Agreements for organisations awarded funding.

Kobie has high level administration and organisational skills, and an ability to build excellent working relationships through her interpersonal and communication skills. Kobie is passionate about contributing to a positive work environment and being flexible to help out wherever she can.
