Dr Georgia Roberts is a multidisciplinary archaeologist whose research focusses on exploring the interplay between climate, ecology and human occupation. She is particularly interested in the cold climate regions of south eastern Australia and Tasmania, investigating how Aboriginal communities adapted to and utilised these landscapes in the past. Georgia’s other research focus lies in understanding modern species variation from local to regional scales, informing our interpretations of how Aboriginal Australians were adapting to and utilising local environments in the past. She has worked extensively across Australia and has ongoing projects in Tasmania and Victoria.
