An insightful conversation, Shifting Perspectives on the Australian Landscape, was led by Associate Professor Tim Cohen, Sonia Leber and David Chesworth and moderated by Dr. Bianca Beetson.

The panel discussed the juxtaposition of science and art, showcased segments of commission one “The Deep Present” and share experiences of the field trip.

How to tell the weather in the Ice Age

Developed and presented by the James Cook University team and led by Professor Michael Bird, How to tell the Weather in the Ice Age was CABAH’s first Street Science experience since the festival’s inception.

The team brought together activities, displays, and information that transported participants back through time to learn about Australia’s deep history and our research and current environmental issues, including climate change.

The two-day event was a resounding success with the CABAH tent recording 4000 visitors.  Not bad for a 5m2 marquee!
